fourteen PUNCH

PUNCH IN THE FACE

okay it's bad but i did try out the brush pen and i do like it
especially for long, fast strokes

kinda messed up the font, but it kind of works for depth

will do some real practice at some point though
it is necessary

AND THE NEW THEME OF THE WEEK IS:
panels! panels! panels! (use some panels okay?)

now go and be merry

9: boom headshot

augh, this scan is TERRIBLE.

looked at this 25 expressions chart thing and decided to take a stab at some of it.

well, it's only day 9 so i still have a long way to go for improvement.

hour 44 (it took 90 mins and i did 45 minutes of doodles two days ago after the post)

day eight: muertotown edition

two hour comix!

based on a true story. i hope my friend gets a good laugh out of this. hope things turn better for ya, dude.

unfortunately, i still don't have a scanner so the low res shots will have to do.

and remember kids, get checked routinely! don't want the stids now, do ya.

i drew for two hours today! this makes up for not drawing on day five, yes?

attempted panels may not be good at all, but i still enjoyed trying to do them

if you know what that symbol in the top left is, that is why i am practicing. maybe i will be good enough next year (or the year after)

drawing things without references is not the best, but it is not the worst to keep on drawing.

OH HEY ALL YOU PEOPLE OUT THERE (all two of you or something):

i will be starting a weekly postcard sending thing. each week there is a theme and you send a 4x6 notecard to someone with a drawing based on the theme. HOWEVER, when you receive it, you draw a response to it using the theme for the new week. i will be doing this with a friend in the bay area.

this week's theme is: "SPACEADE: like lemonade, but with space"

excitement!

hours 39 and 40!

anatomy!

as bad as it is, i like it

oh and if you recognize the pose, it is the cover for "anatomy for the artist" by sarah simblet

also i did some proto two-point perspective with a couple of quick geometric shapes, but i didn't feel like taking a photo of it

hooray

BY THE WAY:

i have been enjoying the music of Canyons of Static while i sketch

instrumental stuff is the good, and you should try it

there is a little person taking a view.

the pencil does not show up well in this photo.

oh well.

(i should invest in an anatomy book)
